The Product Manager’s role is to strengthen ConMed’s market leading position within Canada and is responsible for managing all aspects of the product portfolio to ensure sales and profitability targets are achieved.

  • Develop and manage an annual national marketing and sales program for the successful introduction, sale and marketing of Orthopaedic Powered Instruments products
  • Create and execute national product launch plans to include (but not limited to); strategic pricing, product promotions, inventory levels, field inventory investments, medical education, sponsorships, sales training and sales forecasts
  • Regularly communicate with global marketing to share Canadian market trends, adaptation of new products within the market, product feedback, and inventory forecasts
  • Represent the product portfolio at regional, national and international conferences, meetings and cadaveric labs
  • Become the technical expert within the product portfolio and provide support to the sales team through education, product/technique updates, dissemination of relevant clinical papers, field visits, competitive intelligence, in-servicing and the promotion of new and existing products across Canada
  • Maintain constant communication with the Canadian sales team, international sales and marketing colleagues, and clinical KOL’s to develop working knowledge of market trends
  • Assist sales and management team in the completion of national and regional RFP’s/RFQ’s/RFI’s
  • Provide product training at semi-annual Canadian new hire sales training as well as in-house training sessions as requested by various departments
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)
  • Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative
  • High energy level with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, external sales force, and clinical KOL’s


  • University Degree (BSc/BA in business or health related discipline preferred)
  • MBA is an asset
  • Medical background or experience an asset


  • 5+ years medical device Sales and/or Marketing experience required
  • Sports Medicine specific experience preferred


  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Travel (up to 40%)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Bilingualism is an asset
