Work Arrangements
The Sport Science Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Douglas College is seeking contract instructors for the Winter 2021 semester.

The successful candidate must be able to teach in an online format. Future opportunities may require ability to teach at either one of the two Douglas College Campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

The Role
The Sport Science Department currently offers a 2-year Sport Science Diploma (with specializations in Health and Recreation or Kinesiology), a 4-year Bachelor of Physical Education & Coaching Degree (with concentrations in Health Promotion or Kinesiology), and a 2-year Graduate Diploma in Physical and Health Education. We are currently seeking a candidate with expertise in Motor Skill Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses.
  • You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner-centered instruction.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in an applicable field required (PhD preferred)
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level
  • Field experience in physical education, kinesiology, or sport and coaching
