 Job Description

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Lead Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility as Ambassador of the Sporting Life Brand will be to oversee and own the brand profile across all assets. They will lead the brand and design elements for all retail marketing content across the internal support team as well as external agency and contractors. The Lead Designer is highly creative, technically skilled and well versed in both print and digital designs.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering the overarching marketing campaign creative across required. assets (including, but not limited to email, website, print, display banners, etc.) in partnership with the extended Marketing & creative team.
  • Ensure articulation of Sporting Life’s brand is consistently communicated across the organization and in line with the mission, vision and brand strategy.
  • Provide direction to the creative team for asset production and quality assurance across print and digital channels.
  • Develop and edit video and animation graphics for digital channels.
  • Balance multiple design projects, some of which will be subject to scheduling and priority changes.
  • Assist and report to the Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing as required.
  • Provides consistent connection and leadership to the team promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic and web design
  • Post-Secondary Education in Communication, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
  • Experience in providing supervisory / mentoring a team an asset.
  • Excellent graphic design skills including Adobe Creative Suite amust, primarily
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • UI/UX design experience a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and oversee many projects and deadlines simultaneously with changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, as work projects are short cycle; frequent new projects.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across different business verticals.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and produce results under pressure.
  • Comfortable integrating French translation (provided by translation team) into creative for most projects.
  • Aficionado of an active lifestyle.
