 Job Description

General marketing & communications responsibilities for Badminton Alberta and Badminton Canada (NSO partner):

  • Implementing overall marketing & communications initiatives and strategies for the PSO & NSO
  • Leveraging NSO partner’s network to discover and share stories of interest
  • Assisting NSO partner with content development for social media platforms
  • Analyze and report on performance

Major project responsibilities:

  • Implementing project-specific marketing & communication strategies
  • Coordinating project-specific social media platforms and internal communications requirements for NSO
  • Consulting with project-specific staff to develop and promote a volunteer training & recognition plan
  • Be on-site to oversee and coordinate the execution of the volunteer action plan
  • Be on-site to provide general sport operation assistance with staff

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

You have knowledge and experience in analysis, project management, timeline execution, and task prioritization. You can understand the challenges needed to ensure a successful project delivery. You can clearly communicate your expectations and outcomes with colleagues. You can learn. You are not afraid to ask questions. You enjoy working within a team, but you can also excel remotely as an individual.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Between 15-30 years of age is a must
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or individual identified as a refugee under the immigration and refugee protection act is a must
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail is a must
  • Experience in running social media accounts for small businesses is a must
  • Experience in volunteer coordination is an asset
  • Previous experience or education in communications, marketing, PR, event planning, sales, sport management is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and time-line oriented is an asset
