 Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and conscientious coach, with a passion for health and fitness, a mission to connect with and help others and a desire to work hard and grow. The ideal candidate will be well equipped to educate, entertain and inspire our membership base to consistently and effectively improve their fitness. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning the BTB methodology, teaching gymnastics, powerlifting, and olympic lifting movements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coaching group fitness classes, personal training sessions, and new member on-boarding sessions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strength & conditioning coach who not only understands how to build relationships and prioritizes helping others achieve their goals, but that enjoys doing so! This person must be comfortable coaching group classes, and be open to expanding their knowledge so that they continue to offer the best coaching experience possible. An individual with excellent time management, communication skills and the ability to multi-task will thrive in this position!

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Guide athletes through daily workouts focused on skills, strength and conditioning, while creating a fun, inclusive and productive atmosphere for them to achieve their goals.
  • Build rapport with new members and help them feel “at home” with your coaching style and with our gym.
  • Understand and demonstrate functional movements, understand and explain the
  • BTB training methodology, and have the necessary skills to scale and modify movements for any fitness level.
  • Be able to create and deliver customized, effective workout programs.
  • Communicate and model the BTB values and policies.
  • Stage classes to ensure social distancing and assist in keeping the gym area and its equipment clean and organized.
  • Be willing to adjust to rapidly changing operational guidelines based on COVID-19 policies.
  • Ability to accept and communicate feedback.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Has experience in personal training and/or sports specific training.
  • CrossFit L1 is considered an asset but not required to apply.
  • If an applicant does not have an L1, a recognized personal training or group class certification will be encouraged.
  • Valid CPR/AED certification (preferred)
