 Job Description

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing data to indicate trends and identify issues to increase operations outputs and increase efficiencies. This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your expert analytical skills using industry standard tools to conduct various levels and areas of analyses. You will be a key member of our very select Project team working on large strategic initiatives, as well as continuous improvement initiatives across all Canadian Tire Supply Chain banners. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge and skills in several areas including Project and Change Management planning and implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Use industry standard analytical tools to research, manage and mine data, to identify trends and potential issues and make recommendations
  • Create templates, reports and other documents to capture and track project deliverables
  • Identify and confirm business requirements and outcomes of analyses
  • Create and support the creation of process development
  • Identify and prioritize areas of the business/ process that can benefit from analyses execution
  • Determine level of analyses required for a particular area and create a project plan
  • Design professional presentations and present proposals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners to build effective relationships to gain skills and knowledge about the operations
  • Apply standard Project Management tools and techniques to identify, plan and monitor deliverables
  • Apply standard Change Management theories and principals
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technology

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Degree in business administration or equivalent
  • 2-4 years in a business analyst role
  • Advance level user of Microsoft Excel and Access as well as other Microsoft applications
  • Significant experience in designing and presenting PowerPoint presentations and proposals
  • Proven ability to perform at a high level in a very fast pace environment
  • Working experience on large process and system change projects
  • Experience working with and understanding business process and identifying and analyzing gaps between current and future state
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with several cross functional stakeholders, building rapport and relationships
  • Applied Project and Change management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a large dynamic environment
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Canadian Tire’s Sport Chek and Mark’s banners is an asset
