 Job Description

  • The Specialty Instructor – Martial Arts designs and develops martial arts program syllabus/content and lesson plans within the guidelines of a recognized certifying organization.
  • The Specialty Instructor – Martial Arts, organizes and prepares martial arts classes within the guidelines of a recognized certifying organization, and instructs and leads recreation classes for different ages and abilities levels, and monitors classes to ensure safety and provides emergency or first aid assistance when required. The incumbent also attends to clients with special needs.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • High school diploma AND some years of experience conducting classes
  • An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience wil l be considered
  • Current Program Certification in Martial Arts
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
  • Current Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Operator Certificate
  • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification and Healthy Minds for HealthyChildren Certification, as required
  • Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership (our shared competencies).
