The Sports Studies Department seeks a forward-thinking and passionate individual to contribute to its development. The ideal candidate is expected to possess expertise pertaining to community sport and/or active lifestyles and will be expected to teach and introduce new courses in these domains. Examples of possible courses include but are not limited to: recreation planning and evaluation, sport centre management, recreation and leisure tourism, sporting organization management, recreation for persons with
disabilities, leisure and health, and long-term engagement in physical activity.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a liberal education model and to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in their work
- Possess a research profile including peer reviewed publications
- Since the primary language of education at Bishop’s University is English, applicants must be proficient in this language
