Job Description
Job DescriptionThe job of the assistant groundskeeper is to work hand in hand with the Director of Field and Stadium Operations in all aspects of sports turf management, to provide a safe and reliable playing surface for all levels of competition. As well as working non-game day events hosted at Salem Memorial Ballpark.
Anticipated Roles (but not limited to):
- Assist in the preparation for all Salem Red Sox home games and other non-game day events.
- Assist with game day staffing and management Infield skin maintenance (dragging, watering, drying, line painting) clay work (bullpen, game mound, and home plate repairs and construction)
- Turf management (mowing, watering, edging, sod work) provide input to challenge knowledge of turf practices (Any sort of application timing, aeration timing, etc.)
