Job Description
The Communications Intern is responsible for providing administrative and overall support to the Communications Department. The Communications Intern will assist with department projects and daily activities. The areas of concentration include but are not limited to: Game notes, media roundups, preparation of media assets for all games, organizing and maintaining media distribution lists, creation and upkeep of statistical databases, and assisting in the day-to-day media operations for both the First Team and NYCFC II.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Updating NYCFC media resources and materials for both & away games for NYCFC & NYCFC II
- Create and maintain the statistical database for NYCFC & NYCFC II
- Assist in the day-to-day media operations required for NYCFC & NYCFC II Home Games
- Support NYCFC & NYCFC II away games remotely
- Create coverage reports for and assist with large Club announcements pertaining to partnership launches, community initiatives, player signings, media days and press conferences
- Help support esports communications and influencer marketing initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required
- You must be working towards or holds a degree in Communications, Sports Management, Sports Information or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Self-starter, team-orientated, and organized
- Flexible with working hours including nights & weekends, can work weekday mornings from 8am – 12pm, and NYCFC & NYCFC II home games
- Fluent in Spanish/Portuguese is a plus but not necessary
- Must be able to commute between Orangeburg, NY training facility, Manhattan office, and NYCFC home venues
