Job Description

The Marketing/Promotions Intern will work closely with the Manager of Game Entertainment and all staff in the Sponsorship Department, including, but not limited to, Public Relations Manager, Sponsorship Executives, and answer directly to the Director of Marketing.
Promotions Intern Duties: 
 
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • HAVE FUN!
  • Assist the Manager of In-Game Entertainment in the execution of all promotions through the Bats season. Such duties include assisting in the setup and maintenance of all on-field and traffic driving promotions, coordination of entry forms, prizes, contestants, miscellaneous activity required to execute the promotions successfully, and production of the game-day program insert.
  • Assist in the game night execution of all on-field promotions.
  • Assist in the pre-game preparation of the stadium, including the hanging of banners, placement of Bats signs and the supplying of Guest Services. In addition, the promotions intern will be responsible for clean up of all promotions materials used during each game.
  • Provide the best customer service possible to all fans that attend Bats games at Louisville Slugger Field.
  • Represent the Louisville Bats in a professional manner at all times.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Marketing and the Manager of In-Game Entertainment.

Qualifications Required

The Promotions Department Internship position will run from March 2024 through the end of the playoffs (typically through the middle of September). The position requires attendance at select Bats home games during this period. In addition, when the team is on the road, the position may require some additional office hours.
Salary: 
This internship is for college credit in cooperation with your college or university. If college credit is not needed, this role can be a paid position.
