Job Description
Job DescriptionThis part-time paid internship will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting activities including coordinating resume responses, conducting reference checks when needed, and preparation of recruiting materials and job fairs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation. Conduct audits as required.
- Assist with the benefits programs including 401(k), pension, monthly billing reconciliation and FMLA.
- Organize, create, and manage spreadsheets and documents for various projects.
- Help coordinate company wellness events.
- Assist with day-to-day HR administrative needs, including coordination of mailings, new hire materials, filing, and other duties as assigned.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records and information.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Currently enrolled in college Human Resources degree program.
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to handle highly confidential materials with discretion and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to be available 20 hours/week.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for periods of time.
- Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Operates in a professional office environment.
- Role routinely uses standard office equipment.
