Job Description
Job DescriptionAs the Director, Partnership Sales, you will drive long-term corporate partnerships revenue for the New York Islanders and UBS Arena. You will report to the Vice President, Partnership Sales to create an overall strategic approach to driving national, regional and local corporate partnerships.
Show Us You Can:
- Establish new marketing partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals
- Secure appointments to sell to new prospects among local and national companies
- Analyze specific marketing needs by conducting a needs analysis with prospects based on partner objectives
- Deliver presentations in-person/virtually to decision makers and larger groups to drive revenue for the company
- Develop meaningful business relationships with existing and potential sponsors
- Communicate well across all areas of the company including legal, accounting, marketing, community relations and ticketing
- Work closely with the Partnership Activation team to ensure current clients receive superior service and complete fulfillment of every contract detail
- Assist with Team marketing events and initiatives

Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Bachelor’s degree in sports administration, business or marketing
- 8-10 years’ experience working with a sports team in partnerships
- Strategic prowess focused on growing the business vision while managing day-to-day operations
- Creativity, strong analytical skills and organizational skills
- Customer-focused, relationship building mindset
- Superior interpersonal skills across all mediums of communication
- Results and bottom-line driven attitude balanced with sensitivity towards people and values
- Discretion when privy to sensitive and confidential information
- Strong player-coach mentality focused on developing staff
