Job DescriptionReporting to the National Manager of Game Plan and the mental health strategy partner group, the Game Plan Mental Health Manager is responsible for the implementation and
communication of the Mental Health Strategy for High Performance in Canada. The position will require creativity, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, leadership and an entrepreneurial attitude. The objective of this position is to ensure that the Canadian sport system has world-class mental health programming and support.
The successful applicant will be based in one of Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institutes and Centres (COPSIN), which are located in: Victoria, B.C.; Calgary, A.B.; Saskatoon, S.K.; Winnipeg, M.B.; Toronto, O.N.; Montreal, Q.C., and Halifax, N.S.
Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian sport system
- Undergraduate degree in psychology, counselling, sport management, or a related field
- 5-7 years related experience managing projects or programs
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated experience taking projects from start to finish
- Experience as an athlete on Canada’s Olympic, Paralympic or National Team or working with high level athletes
