Position

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis provides cross functional strategic support, planning, and analysis across Katz Group of Companies. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with a strong understanding of business operations, analysis, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Formalize and assist in compiling group budgeting with companies across the group
  • Develop forecasts for business performance on an ongoing basis and establish formalized process
  • Conduct proactive variance analysis and provides insights from these variances that help improve performance of business operations
  • Assist in development, reporting, and strategy of financial and non-financial KPIs that are specific to each of the companies within the group
  • Lead analysts/data teams across the group to help provide data driven insights to the business
  • Develop quality internal financial and operation controls
  • Ensure compliance of implemented controls environment by companies across the group
  • De facto owner of compliance across the groups

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Post Secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years experience with a combination of finance and operations experience which can include consulting experience
  • Strategic focus and strong understanding of business operations
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) or significant progress towards attainment will be considered with more experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Capable of handling confidential, sensitive information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills to determine priorities with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
