 Job Description

  • Develop and oversee execution of the PLL’s ticketing, tune-in, and merchandise marketing strategy
  • Manage and oversee the PLL’s email marketing strategy, including editorial, targeted, and transactional emails
  • Deliver a paid social strategy through O&O and agency-based solutions
  • Optimize search through paid and organic efforts to support league awareness and drive conversion across core verticals
  • Vet and manage PLL’s agency relationships
  • Work closely with the PLL’s Content Team to create and execute omni-channel marketing campaigns for league initiatives
  • Oversee local marketing efforts, including bar/restaurant deals, strategic local partnerships, venue relationships, and other local ticketing opportunities
  • Manage the PLL’s design team, with responsibility for brand aesthetic and voice oversight
  • Source and drive partnerships on a national and local basis

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Minimum Bachelor’s of Arts requirement
  • Minimum 6 years experience in marketing roles
  • Experience managing a team; demonstrates strong leadership capacities
  • Demonstrates fluency across marketing concepts, including universal marketing KPIs, lexicon, and a deep understanding of core marketing channels
  • Background in working within or with agencies - the Director of Marketing will be asked to vet and manage PLL’s agency relationships
  • Experience with data oversight, data warehouses, data analysis, and utilization of data to create customer segments; knows how to convert data to insights and actionable outcomes
  • Possess a deep understanding of a marketing “tech stack” and can speak to different software services and stacks
  • Strong knowledge of brand - including voice, aesthetic, and feel
  • Ability to seamlessly walk through and lead an omni-channel campaign
  • “A”-Level writer and communicator
  • Ideally possesses a sports marketing background
