The Worcester Railers are looking to hire the first recipient of the Eric Lindquist Scholarship, acting under the direction of the Broadcasting & Media Relations Coordinator. The selected candidate will assist the hockey operations staff with video clipping and analytical needs, as well as aid the team broadcaster with color commentary & other communications needs at home games.

Objectives & Goals
This recipient of the scholarship will receive hands-on experience in the realm of hockey operations and sports broadcasting.


  • Edit video live during games for team use between periods
  • Offer color commentary on all 36 home broadcasts
  • Other hockey operations & broadcasting duties as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Must be able to work home games and events on weekends and holidays as needed, with the potential to work road games remotely
  • Must have reliable transportation and live in Worcester or surrounding areas
  • Hockey Knowledge and Communications skills are necessary
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and appropriate attire at all times
  • Knowledge of digital and social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat
  • Preferably knowledgeable of Adobe Creative Suites, but not necessary
  • Ability to interact professionally with current players and alumni
  • Experience producing broadcasts or podcasts preferred
