Job Description
The Video Content Producer will play a key role in all areas of the Carolina Hurricanes video team to include ideation, production and final delivery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating trending and foundational video content with an emphasis on storytelling. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Shoot, edit and produce multi-platform video content primarily for the Carolina Hurricanes.
- Contribute to all phases of production including conceptualization, scripting, planning, lighting, sound, recording, editing, and producing.
- Remain aware of and apply new video production techniques and styles.
- Work both independently and as a part of the creative production team.
- Maintain a production schedule and execute projects on a tight deadline.
- Work all Carolina Hurricanes pre-season, regular season, playoff games and team events as needed. The position is a year-round role with the team. Must be willing to work a very flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Organize and log assets in the media library.

Qualifications Required
- Degree in Film, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or similar, and/or has relevant work experience of 1-3 years.
- Proven track record of multi-platform video content creation from conceptualization to publishing.
- Proficient in non-linear editing and familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
- Experience with video production equipment, lighting and set design (Digital Cinema Cameras, DSLR, lights, and grip equipment - Experience with Sony cameras a plus).
- Experience working in a live control room setting and sports motion design plus.
- Knowledge of the NHL/Carolina Hurricanes is a plus.
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Must be able to work well under pressure with tight/competing deadlines.
- Must be a self-motivated and creative individual with a passion for storytelling.
- Must pass a criminal background check
