 Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Hospitality, the Manager, Corporate Event Sales is responsible for proactively pursuing and event space rentals and catering sales. The position requires an individual who is experienced in outbound sales, knowledgeable in food and beverage and passionate about events.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Increases revenue for OEG through the sale of corporate event space rental packages, for locations within Rogers Place
  • Increases existing business and generate new opportunities through a sales process that includes discovery, account development, presentations, negotiations and closing.
  • Cultivates a network of prospective clients
  • Oversee and manage all sales plans to ensure proper strategy and execution of sales initiatives
  • Works within company booking protocols
  • Works closely with Food and Beverage partner at Rogers Place
  • Manages assigned categories to optimize overall revenue
  • Achieves agreed-upon sales targets
  • Manages and foster personal relationships with existing portfolio of clients
  • Contributes to department planning and execution of client hospitality events
  • Works closely with Corporate Sales service team to ensure fulfillment and over delivery of contract benefits are met
  • Contributes to planning and execution of select special events
  • Contributes to preparation of post season reports for assigned accounts
  • Maintains current, accurate and complete account details through CRM platform
  • Monitors and assists Finance in accounts receivables for rentals
  • Generates account plans and reports
  • Contributes to Corporate Sales annual plans

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales environment; sports and entertainment experience is considered a strong asset
  • Proven network of prospective clients and contacts in the Edmonton market would be considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated success in service providing, conflict resolution, and patience (both internal & external)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word)
  • Strong analytical skills
