The Manager, Major Events is responsible for the planning, communication, and execution of REV Entertainment events by performing essential duties with internal and external stakeholders to perform long-range plans. The Manager is highly organized, a multi-tasker, and a leader who delivers projects in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate has a diverse background with event planning with a strong understanding of sport and entertainment events.


  • Effectively communicate with internal and external personnel on a regular basis to ensure proper delivery of major events
  • Create strong working relationships with all REV Entertainment departments to facilitate event service needs and objectives
  • Work closely with client’s stakeholders to understand and deliver event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans
  • Ensure policies are followed and properly communicated with external event hosts
  • Assist in the development, timing and execution of internal and external planning meetings
  • Work with departments to establish staffing levels to ensure a safe event for fans and participants.
  • Maintain a calendar of events and database to anticipate long-term planning and effective event management
  • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations
  • Creates and follows through on events from initial client meetings, preparation of client estimates, and rental agreements through final billing
  • Oversees third-party vendors to ensure quality product and events for clients
  • Coordinates event schedules with Globe Life Field or REV Entertainment project venues including but not limited to event services, event operations, security, customers service, box office, cleaning, maintenance, public safety, and others as assigned, providing guidance, and supervision during events and follows up after all events to ensure proper billing
  • Creates and maintains event files on all major events
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of Major Event Memos
  • Reviews and reports financial reports relating to event expenses, payments, and general ledger allocations
  • Manage the closing and settlement process to ensure proper billing of staffing, services, and product expenses
  • Identify, generate and expand business revenue opportunities for Major Events
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective clients; assists with general tours as needed
  • Collaborate with the Director of Major Event Services in all facets of post-event meetings and reports to drive improved event operations, planning and success
  • Provides general event support for public ticketed events as needed
  • As scheduled, works flexible/varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in Event Management, Sport Management, Communications, Business, Hospitality or similar major
  • At least 2 years event management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Event Booking, Venue Ops, Social Tables and/or other departmental event management software
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff
  • Skilled in the understanding, implementation, and creation of SOPs for event planning, execution, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, live production and communications staff, and vendors
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact with all levels of staff and clients
