 Job Description

Under the direction of the USL Sporting team, the Sporting UWEP supports the department by assisting with multiple functional areas of USL operations. The Participant will assume an integral role in the data analysis and research across areas including player development and talent identification.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  •  Assist with the USL Sporting Strategy by collecting and analyzing player statistics
  • Talent ID prep (USL L2, W League, USL Academy Cup) with Sporting research & data analysis
  • Assistance with Sporting Comms. & planning/hosting of USL Sporting Development Webinars
  • Join in on Sporting Department meetings when they occur
  • Perform Sporting research and compile scouting reports through Modular-11
  • Assist with the USL Pre-Professional Scouting Networks for Academy, League Two, and W League on reviewing, analyzing, and managing data
  • Reviewing previous game footage in relation to player performance, along with their statistical research
  • Help develop DEI clinic through event planning and community outreach research
  • Any other sporting initiatives assignments

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Participants must be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field and/or training and must certify that they are able to receive college credit from an accredited college or university for their participation
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook are a must
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn
  • Should be extremely organized and detail oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of sports/soccer is preferred, but not required
  • If completing the Work Experience Program remotely, participants must have access to a computer or laptop with reliable internet connection
