 Job Description

As an intern on the Marketing Team, you will have the unique opportunity to learn how the USGA and U.S. Open championships operates as a brand. You will also have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with a variety of projects - from supporting our championships to helping us develop programs that support the health of the game.

What you can expect:

  • Cross-functional exposure to the USGA and our strategy & approach towards customer communications
  • Exposure to all aspects of the USGA and the role of the “Marketing team”
  • Opportunity to learn more about various marketing channels (OOH, Print, Email, Search, Ad-Trafficking, Direct, Social Media, etc.) and first-party data platforms
  • Specific responsibilities to include work on the U.S. Open Victory Club, the official fan club of the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open; supporting customer relationships management (CRM) efforts, data analytics and email marketing campaigns across the organization
  • Cross-functional exposure to the USGA and our strategy/approach for golfer engagement

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Current junior or senior in college, or Grad student with a marketing, communications and/or business management major
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, presentation and written skills
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Tableau or other software in creating marketing dashboards
  • Experience with copy-writing, email marketing and distribution, and social media creative for a team or brand is preferred but not required
  • Collaborative approach to tackling group projects
  • Knowledge of different advertising mediums and social marketing platforms
