As a member of the Yankees Player Development Department, the incumbent is responsible for managing objectives and pitching development through integrating the industry’s best practices while gleaning input from Quantitative Analysis, Video, Performance Science, Player Health & Human Performance, and Mental Conditioning.
The primary objective of this role is to help create and foster an environment for players and staff to maximize their development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build an environment for player growth through integration with all available departments, including (but not limited to): Quantitative Analysis, Video, Performance Science, Player Health & Human Performance, and Mental Conditioning.
  • Prepare and execute pitching plans based on the organizational philosophies set forth by the Pitching Coordinators and Director of Pitching.
  • Diagnose and prescribe plans of action to ensure players meet organizational objectives.
  • Communicate frequently with the Director of Pitching and Pitching Coordinators.
  • Manage pitchers’ training and in-game workloads to ensure healthy and efficient development.
  • Manage the daily use of organizational tech
  • Report on player interactions, pre-game routine, objectives, etc. on internal software.
  • Communicate, empower, and hold pitchers accountable to the organizational beliefs and philosophies
  • Other duties as assigned to aid in the function and flow of the affiliate assignment.
