The Director of Corporate Partnerships will lead the work of building, cultivating, and engaging new and existing corporate relationships for the St. Paul Saints (1) through their own sales and business development efforts and (2) through the oversight and development of an innovative/aggressive Corporate Partnerships team.  This individual is responsible for identifying opportunities for corporate partnerships that deliver on both the Saints’ and their partners’ strategic priorities, designing new engagement avenues, and securing revenue. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for developing and executing the strategy to secure new partnerships and thoughtfully expand existing relationships.  The individual in this position will be expected not only to be an exceptional salesperson and leader, but also to deliver outstanding customer service to all clients and prospects to ensure business retention.

  • Represent the organization with the utmost professionalism in the community
  • Communicate clearly and productively on all levels both internal and external – Ability to communicate effectively is of the utmost importance to our organization
  • Generate corporate partnership revenue through both traditional and emerging strategies
  • Develop and lead an innovative, aggressive, and collaborative partnership sales team
  • Work closely with sales and marketing departments to develop compelling partnership sales opportunities
  • Responsible for developing and selling high level, multi-layered partnerships that meet clients’ stated needs and enhance partner retention
  • Meet and/or exceed sales goals (individually and as a team)
  • Meet and/or exceed daily and weekly outbound engagement minimums; calls, meetings, presentations (individually and as a team

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Three (3) years of significant sales and/or marketing experience, preferably in a professional sports environment
  • Must have superior communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and assume a leadership role within the organization
  •  Outgoing and personable, energetic and customer service-minded attitude
  •  Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
