Job Description
Complete league mandated testing which provides the knowledge and ensures the understanding of proper use of equipment, specific shots and framing for game use.
Hands-on training to practice correct setup/teardown, usage, and storage of equipment, and needed shots for filming games.
In Season:
Pregame: Responsible for proper camera equipment set up. Participate in pregame meetings to discuss potential improvements from previous games.
Game time: Run camera to the best of operators ability. Actively listen to directions from the director. Actively watch and listen to game play, surroundings, and broadcast announcers to anticipate the shots needed.
Postgame: Correctly teardown camera equipment and ensure that it is stored safely in its place for the next person to use it. Participate in postgame meetings to discuss future games.
Qualifications Required
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university
- Actively pursuing a degree or career in graphic design, video production, communications or related field
- Experience in video editing, live media graphic creation a plus
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Organized and have a keen eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of baseball preferred but not required
