Job DescriptionThe Video Production intern oversees the video crew and is responsible for the web broadcast of Express home games. The intern serves as the director during games, trains camera staff and troubleshoots any technical issues that take place during the game. The position also serves as the main contact between the Express and the Northwoods League studio staff. Additional details of what is incorporated in the internship available in this department are below. The position begins in mid May and runs through mid August of 2023.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct game day broadcasts of all Express home games including managing four camera operators and one production assistant while operating switchboard
- Create and update between-inning material for game broadcasts
- Highlight reels
- Player interviews
- Sponsor commercials
- Player information slides
- Statistics slides
- League leaders
- Slides promoting upcoming games
- Update all content on YouTube server relating to graphics and statistics
- Troubleshoot any problems with video system throughout course of the season
- Assist in hiring and training of all video personnel
- Attend all league training sessions offered prior to season
- Manage Express YouTube page
- Upload all video content to page and link to Facebook Page
- Create and produce commercials and promotional spots as necessary to assist with Express marketing efforts
- Set up and conduct various interviews with Express players and personnel for use on Express website and social networking pages
- Produce video highlight packages for website and internal use
- Create mid-season and post-season highlight recap videos for use on Express website and social media pages
Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Experience with video editing and software
- Previous experience directing a broadcast preferred but not required
- Proficient in video techniques, including camera positioning, lighting, etc.
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
