Job Description
U.S. Soccer is looking for a highly motivated Coordinator of Corporate Communications as part of our External Relations practice. The Communications team tells the story of how U.S. Soccer empowers the broader soccer ecosystem. The team is collaborative and touches every corner of the business. This individual will support driving an integrated strategy for business, financial, reputational, corporate, stakeholder, internal, and executive communications.
Reporting into the Director of Corporate Communications and working closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization, the Coordinator of Corporate Communications, this person needs to be creative and curious, and possess a strong work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Corporate Communications
- Serve as a contact with media to help drive placements in high-profile and local outlets
- Execute communications campaigns that tell the story of positive impact on behalf of our stakeholders and serve to protect and enhance the reputation of USSF.
- Write press releases and handle media requests.
- Assist with sending out all press releases and help manage U.S. Soccer media lists.
- Develop and maintain report, tracking, and monitoring, including daily clips.
Qualifications Required
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Passion for creativity, storytelling, and elevating brands through communications
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Able to work out of U.S. Soccer’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
