The Special Event Operations Manager will be responsible to help increase overall facility revenue for the franchise and assist other departments in reaching their own goals. As such, key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Plans future catering/events including social and corporate events while effectively communicating all information to operational staff for proficient execution of each event
  • Develops relationships with local vendors to negotiate vendor contracts and ensure efficiencies around needed assets for each event
  • Assists Special Event Sales Manager with tours of the facilities and discus event concepts, logistics, room options and additional opportunities (upsells) with members and potential guests
  • Meet regularly with the VP of Event Development and Special Event Sales Manager to review the calendar, upcoming events and logistics
  • Works in tandem with the Special Manager of Event Sales, Crew Ticket Sales and Corporate Partnership Teams to service clients and upsell event and hospitality packages.
  • Direct interaction with clients and guests always in a professional and polite manner; promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests
  • Manages and directs event day operations, working closely with vendors to ensure a seamless experience for all guests
  • Fully oversee the logistics and execution of all functions, which may include client walk-throughs; vendor approvals & walk-throughs; coordinating with other internal departments; coordinating load-in/out, timeline/run of events, technology, room setup, staffing, cleaning and other needs identified by each unique event.
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty for events secured by the Special Event Development Department to ensure exceptional execution to all clients.

  • Availability to work a varied schedule including, nights, weekends, holidays and early mornings, as needed for events, maintain full time status hours and full calendar year availability
  • 2-4 years event management experience, hospitality experience is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be upbeat with a positive and flexible attitude; work well in a fast-paced environment; exhibit a calm confidence and ability to prioritize key tasks; be able to handle unexpected situations with elegance and finesse; and display excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Someone who understands that building and maintaining relationships throughout the entirety of guest experiences is the foundation to any successful event
  • The ability to assess situations and problem-solve to find effective solutions should challenges arise
