 Job Description

The Manager of Business Analytics at FC Cincinnati will be responsible for providing insights and analysis across business operation verticals including ticketing, concessions, retail, and marketing.  This role will analyze data and formulate insights to be an asset for driving commercial value and building fan relationships for the club and will work with internal and external stakeholders across all business departments in the front office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of data analysis and modeling, interest in the practical application of quantitative insights to help inform better business decisions, and experience with professional sports. As a growing department, it is also important that the candidate can thrive in a start-up atmosphere focused on building the requisite infrastructure to ensure the club’s long-term success.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify and build the requisite infrastructure for collecting, storing, managing, and processing data
  • Analyze ticketing data and propose recommendations for all ticketing, event products, and inventory allocations
  • Build and maintain dashboard reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc reporting & analysis from multiple data sources
  • Use quantitative analysis to help address key business questions
  • Work closely with CRM & Marketing Automation branch of business intelligence for lead scoring & assessing conversion rates of various sales & marketing campaigns
  • Utilize software such as SalesForce, Tableau, and R/Python to support fan retention and customer relationship management initiatives
  • Oversee and manage the data warehouse
  • Effectively communicate data insights and strategic recommendations through oral and written presentations to senior-level business executives
  • Identify best practices both within and outside of the sports industry to define how the club can best use data to drive more-informed business decisions
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and a willingness to bring new ideas to senior-level business executives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics or finance (advanced degree preferred, but not required)
  • 3+ years’ experience in data analytics, data science, and/or a business intelligence role with preferably at least 2 years in the sports industry (experience in ticketing is preferred but not required)
  • Experience with programming/statistical languages such as SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Experience with building statistical models such as classification, regression, clustering, segmentation
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience with SalesForce and/or KORE
  • Experience with data warehousing preferred
  • Project management and team management experience preferred
  • Interest and ability to keep pace with latest business intelligence trends and developments (both within and outside of the sports industry)
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide verification of vaccination prior to start date
