Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and vision of Orlando City SC, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
Orlando City SC is seeking hardworking, positive and passionate individuals who wish to supplement their classroom instruction with practical experience facilitating professional sports and live events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Learn/Assist with gameday/event management and the setup/breakdown of all MLS, NWSL, MLS Next Pro, and any additional home games.
  • Assist with the execution of visiting team’s requests, collaborating with the venue and other departments to fulfill the team’s needs
  • Learn/Assist with match operations, match presentation, teams, and officials, etc.
  • Collaborate with your fellow intern group to execute all event and match operations for MLS Next Pro. Interns will learn how to maintain/execute the Gameday Operations budget for MLS Next Pro.
  • Collaborate/support Live Events with other events organized by the club at the venue.
  • Learn to maintain/inventory all equipment and supplies.
  • Provide assistance with in-office tasks or other duties as needed.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in Sport Business/Management or Event Management.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • An Innovative Individual who can come up with ideas and work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment.
  • Strong attention to small details is a must.
  • Able to be available during non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, and within a team atmosphere.
  • Strong interest in soccer and sports is a plus.
  • A sense of humor is a must (prepare to tell us about a good joke in your interview).
  • Internship will be around 20-30 hours weekly.
  • Ability to be flexible including nights, weekends, and holidays.
