 Job Description

The Manager, Partnership Development will be responsible for driving partnership revenue for Soccer Holdings’ owned entities including Racing Louisville FC, Louisville City FC, Lynn Family Stadium, Youth Academy, and Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Facility, with a primary focus on new opportunities for Racing Louisville FC amidst the explosive growth of National Women’s Soccer League.  This position requires a strong ability to identify, develop, and retain local, regional, and national corporate partners for the organization.  The Manager, Partnership Development will report to the VP of Partnerships.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay, benefits, and paid time off.  Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed for matches and other events.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 
  • Identify key open partner categories and assets, as well as new categories and assets to generate new business revenue.
  • Sell partnership assets in-stadium, across television and radio game broadcasts, in the community, and across social media and digital properties, including website, app, and e-newsletter.
  • Sell season tickets and group tickets as part of corporate partnership packages.
  • Create compelling sales presentations to C-Level decision makers incorporating a clear understanding of the prospective partners marketing and business objectives.
  • Cultivate corporate partnership revenue by retaining and developing existing relationships.
  • Develop new and existing partner relationships to achieve personal and department sales goals.
  • Represent the Club at networking events with the objective of selling corporate partnerships and building a prospective client list of qualified accounts.
  • Conduct sales opportunities during games and events with opportunities to interact with clients and prospects.
  • Create touch-point campaigns each season to ensure that a mutually beneficial partnership exists.
  • Work closely with partnership fulfillment and activation staff to ensure clients receive a superior level of customer service and fulfillment of their contract.
  • Act as a community and corporate ambassador for the club.
  • Present business updates, new opportunities, and industry-driven initiatives to the management team, sales leaders, and owners.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Communications, Marketing, or Management required.
  • Minimum of Three (3) to five (5) years of partnership or enterprise sales and business development experience; sports industry preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of marketing/advertising assets in-stadium, television, radio, and across social media and other digital platforms.
  • Strong insight into the landscape of women’s professional sports and soccer in general
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written with partners and other individuals within the organization.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to achieve aggressive individual and team sales goals.
  • Strong, proven understanding of the practices and principles related to the sales process and execution of corporate partnerships.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong positive working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinker.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment comprehensive background check.
  • Must be legally authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the US.
