NYCFC’s Human Resources Department is seeking a dynamic and engaging HR Intern who has a passion for Human Resources. This role’s primary focus will be providing quality HR support with talent acquisition, HR administration such as onboarding, offboarding, audits, research, reporting, and assist in other department items as needed. The ideal candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple calendars, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to be part of a passionate high performing team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Post job descriptions on applicable job boards, as well as managing the postings (i.e. extending the length of time the position is open, closing the role once the position has been filled, modifying the post if changes are made to the existing position)
  • Actively source resumes to identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques
  • Primary point of contact for coordinating and managing all exploratory calls as well as interviews
  • Assist with HR onboarding related needs
  • Assist with staff recognition and engagement initiatives, including pitching new ideas, planning events
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed
  • Must display an interest in research and analytics and have the curiosity to identify HR and/or organizational trends
  • Maintains information in an organized and confidential manner
  • Interested in learning or has prior knowledge surrounding NYC labor laws, regulations, human resource policies and best practices surrounding talent acquisition
  • Develops and utilizes data analysis skills with an emphasis on advanced excel processes
  • Assists with tracking completion and progress for staff-wide trainings

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • 1 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or in a similar function
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong focus on Excel and Power Point
  • Analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight
  •  Excellent communication and problem resolution skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
