This position will be responsible for safety and security at Orlando City SC facilities/venues to include Exploria Stadium and both Orlando Health Training Grounds at Osceola Heritage Park and Sylvan Lake Park. The Director of Safety & Security will oversee both operational and administrative elements to venue, facility and event security as well as planning, preparation, implementation, and delivery of security plans in a collaborative and coordinated landscape.
  • Build effective and productive relationships within the organization, along with other employees, visitors and staff.
  • Primary contact for MLS and NWSL on all security related matters.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local law enforcement and first responders
  • Serve as liaison for third party security provider in all areas including scheduling, training and creation of post orders
  • Coordinate on security audits and identify potential concerns and operational gaps in the event or facility security procedures at all facilities
  • Provide leadership for event security operations including vulnerability mitigation, incident response and risk assessments
  • Oversee security operations for Exploria Stadium, Osceola Heritage Park Training Facility and Sylvan Lake Training Facility to include all aspects of CCTV system and access control
  • Create the annual security operating budget with the VP of Facilities & Operations and managing day-to-day operations in a cost-effective manner
  • Utilize and manage our on-site incident reporting system and storage of all after-action reports for all events and non-event related incidents, in compliance with OHSA and internal policies.
  • Stay current on league guidelines and ensure all games are operating in compliance with MLS or NWSL policies.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Facilities Management, Police Academy or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of security experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in law enforcement, event, building or venue security
  • Technical knowledge in areas of CCTV and Access Control
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a team environment, focusing on collaboration, communication, and working to achieve goals of the department.
  • Demonstrated history of conservative fiscal oversight and successful time management
  • Experience in exercising sound judgment, as well as flexibility to shifting priorities
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to think strategically and be resourceful, innovative, and forward-thinking.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
