The Columbus Crew is looking to add a Manager/ Director of Digital (level to be determined based on experience) to the growing in-house Creative Agency that sits within our Marketing Department. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative digital leader to grow our fanbase, drive revenue, and push the Columbus Crew brand forward. This role will be responsible for auditing owned digital channels, and building and executing a comprehensive digital strategy including social media, web and app platforms for the Crew, Crew 2, Lower.com Field, and Historic Crew Stadium. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Brand Strategy and Innovation and will oversee the social media and digital teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Audit digital channels including social media, web and app platforms across team properties
  • Develop digital reporting/ tracking structure and interpret regular reports into actionable insights
  • Build thoughtful and innovative owned digital marketing strategy including social media, website and app
  • Develop competitive best practices and processes in digital marketing and create benchmarks
  • Identify opportunities to use digital technologies to enhance the overall marketing mix
  • Collaborate with team members on a data-capture strategy and execution
  • Manage app and website CMS system in close partnership with MLS
  • Work cross-functionally with Partnerships to execute on digital asset fulfillment
  • Build digital strategy to optimize ticket sales and other revenue streams
  • Collaborate with team members on content strategy and execution
  • Oversee Manager, Digital and Brand Innovation and Social Media Coordinator
  • Create web pages, forms, and other digital assets to support marketing campaigns
  • Ensure brand consistency across owned digital channels
  • Champions a segmented digital fan experience and advises on messaging architecture
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
  • At least 4 years of experience in sports, media, technology or related field(s)
  • 2-3 years of management experience
  • Demonstrates track record of driving revenue and an elevated fan experience through digital and social channels
  • Digital savvy with knowledge and comfort of the evolving landscape
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye for attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work home and away matches and other select events
  • Able to some additional evenings, weekends and events
