Job Description
The Development Intern will assist in the Foundation Department and work with the fundraising team. The team is responsible for all fundraising efforts to reach yearly revenue goals of the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation (CBF), to include the planning and execution of a high-profile gala. Additionally, this role will work closely with departments across the organization for the planning and execution of the gala.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Development team in the planning and execution of the annual CBF Gala
- Support back-end data capture and oversight of the gala website
- Assist in the planning and outreach for potential vendors and finalized vendors
- Create and implement a communication process for sponsors ( Thank you’s, Follow-ups, etc.)
- Assist in the outreach of silent auction items and in-kind donations
Qualifications Required
- Strong communicator with the ability to represent the Chicago Blackhawks in a professional manner
- High attention to detail with a focus on process and product
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based organization
- Strong computer skills- including all Microsoft Office Software and some proficiency with project management tools
- Desire to develop project management skills, event planning skills, and fundraising best practices
