 Job Description

  • Evaluate resumes and applications, advise candidate of hire and/or non-selection, and conduct interviews as necessary in accordance with company policies.
  • Complete screening and selection processes for potential new hires (background checks, drug testing, etc.).
  • Process new hire paperwork to ensure accuracy of documents to meet payroll deadlines
Training and Development
  • Arrange informational seminars and trainings.
  • Conduct new hires orientations and other training as needed.
 
Benefit Administration
  • Perform benefits administration to include enrollments, claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, COBRA, and termination updates.
  • Maintain accurate and complete files on benefit providers/carriers regarding plan descriptions, contracts, amendments and other benefit related documents.
Employee Relations
  • Implement and interpret employee relations policies and provide assistance on employee relations issues.
  • Assist with developing and implementing strategies that provide for a healthy and safe working environment for staff.
  • Lead the Employee Relations Committee
    • Organize Orange Bowl Committee staff events
    • Recognize anniversaries and birthdays.
Payroll
  • Manage semi-monthly payroll and facilitate maintenance as needed.
  • Download Payroll Journal Entry, withholding and company contributions.
  • Reconcile withholding accounts monthly.
 

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience as a HR Generalist (or equivalent work experience).
  • Human Resources certification (EPHR, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Must have the ability to hold information in confidence; be able to communicate to all levels of employees, make unbiased decisions and recommendations.
  • Acts as an ombudsman between employees and executive.
