Event Communications Intern

Texas Rangers

The Communications Intern will assist with the communications efforts for REV Entertainment, the exclusive events company of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field, and Choctaw Stadium. This position requires a highly organized individual with a technical skillset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Assist efforts to define, develop, manage, and execute communications strategies
• Develop and maintain media relations database, including maintaining media contacts
• Assist in researching and/or writing internal and external communications
• Assist with media management for special events, including day-of coordination
• Assist with the communication between REV Entertainment and other departments to facilitate workflow
• Assist with social media accounts for REV Entertainment, including Globe Life Field, Choctaw Stadium, and special event accounts
• Prepare weekly job status reports for leadership
• Work nights, weekends and minor holidays as needed
• Attend select events to collect content
• All other duties as assigned

• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
• Outstanding communication, copy editing and writing skills
• Public Relations/Communications background or education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Motivated self-starter
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including upper management
• Strong customer service and networking skills
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
