 Job Description

The Staff Assistant for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders and Mascot will be responsible for assisting with and coordinating cheer and mascot events, initiatives, and daily administrative operations. This position will also play an integral role in assisting youth programs with Junior Dolphins cheer. The staff assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Cheerleading Manager and Choreographer in all work capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day operations of Miami Dolphins Cheer department
  • Coordinate event production notes, checklists, timelines and layouts for all Cheerleading events including game days
  • Coordinate all cheer and mascot appearances (community, signature events, partnerships, security, transportation, etc.).
  • Assist with maintaining relationships with cheer partners and vendors.
  • Order and maintain mascot uniform and accessory needs
  • Manage payroll and work as main liaison with accounting department
  • Maintain inventory for all uniform and travel pieces
  • Coordinate cheer media day logistics and provide creative input on Cheer brand
  • Coordinate practice schedules and maintain cheer annual calendar
  • Assist with production and logistics of cheer auditions
  • Communicate with cheer team on upcoming events, schedules and other priorities
  • Provide creative solutions for team bonding activities and community service
  • Organize photos and other content for cheer website and social platforms
  • Maintain Cheer studio and closet organization
  • Assist with game day and event staff
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of assisting and coordinating in collegiate, professional dance, cheer, sports and/or events
  • Excellent interpersonal, managerial and organizational skills, and the ability to interact with departments across the Miami Dolphins organization
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Detail Oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work nights, long hours, weekends and holidays
  • Must always demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with a team-first mentality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
