Job DescriptionThe Seasonal Field Operations Assistant is primarily responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the baseball grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Daily maintenance and upkeep of baseball grounds
- This includes but is not limited to mowing, fertilizing, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repair and maintenance, hand watering, mound and home plate repair, bullpen mound repair, skin and baseline maintenance, warning track cleanup and prep, and tarp pulls
- Assist in all aspects of turfgrass management at Greater Nevada Field, including the Front Entrance, Right Field Grass Berm and Baseball Mountain landscape
- Assist in preparation for all Aces games and outside events
- Assist in managing Aces Field Operations department at Greater Nevada Field
- Lead game staff in tasks and assignments
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Baseball field maintenance experience
- Ability to operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Knowledge of turfgrass management practices
- Ability to perform labor intensive tasks
- Staff management and time management skills
- Basic equipment troubleshooting skills
- Must respect the privacy of players and coaches
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
