Job DescriptionThe Press Box Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day needs of the press box and their staff. This includes ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly, addressing any issues, creating and uploading content for each game, coordinating with the production team regarding production needs, ensuring adequate staffing each night, scripting, and other daily tasks. The Press Box Manager has to have an understanding of the needs of each game and will coordinate with other members of the front office to ensure that the press box and production are sufficiently prepared.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Coordinates and manages the press box at The Depot during the Railroaders season
- Train and supervise all press box staff
- Schedule all press box and production staff on a nightly basis
- Assist with the planning and coordination of all on-field promotions
- Serve as the lead point-of-contact for our third-party production company
- Build and manages relationships with partners and fans
- Build graphics and visual content for use both in stadium and on the broadcast
- Work closely with other related groups (broadcast, social media, sponsorships, etc)
- Swiftly and effectively solve problems as they arise
- Create a fan-forward, welcoming environment at the stadium that generates repeat business
Qualifications Required
Qualifications Required- Knowledge of broadcasting and production of live events
- Excellent interpersonal, creative, and writing abilities
- High-level problem solving capability
- Knowledge of the game of baseball is preferred
- Experience with Daktronics products preferred
