 The Senior Coordinator, Academy Football Operations will directly manage & execute all aspects of the Academy team operations and administration for U13, U14, U15 & U17 teams. Aspects include but are not limited to budgeting, player registration, and services, scheduling for training, games, and club events as well as the ordering and management of equipment. The Senior Coordinator, Academy Football Operations will manage, coordinate, and execute all aspects of home and away games in accordance with the high standards of the Chicago Fire Football Club.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage the annual Academy budget in collaboration with the Academy Technical Director
  • Budget, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects of academy away trips which include devising itineraries, hotel, busses, vans, and flight reservations as well as nutrition for players and staff
  • Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of academy home games which include coordinating schedules with our players and opponents, roster submittal to the league, field setup, and video recording/uploading to MOD11, VEO, and HUDL
  • Liaise with the Sporting Operations Department on the field schedules for Academy training and games to assure all necessary reservations are booked in a timely matter
  • Manage player's registrations for the Club and MLS NEXT league to adhere to all rules and regulations
  • Manage HUDL, VEO, GotSport, and MOD11 databases for all video and player registrations
  • Execute players’ ITCs as needed
  • Manage communication with players, parents, and Academy staff regarding training, travel schedules, and other important information as needed
  • Manage the execution of the Academy YSC order from Adidas which includes inventory tracking, printing, and distribution of gear to players and staff
  • Collaborate with the Federations for player call-ups
  • Assist in the planning and operational execution of Academy events (i.e., ID Events, Family Orientation, Senior Night, College Signing Day)
  • Collaborate with the MARCOM department for all social media outlet needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a professional football club is required. Previous MLS/USSDA/USYSA Club experience an advantage
  • Spanish language fluency preferred
  • Proficient in using PC and Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • The ability to work independently and in a collaborative work environment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required. Will be required to travel with the Academy teams
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19
