 Job Description

  • Work with current technologies to create and modify a wide variety of web applications
  • Assist the Coaching, Scouting, Football Administration, Strength, Medical and Strategy/Analytics Departments through continuing development and maintenance of existing centralized player evaluation/football management system
  • Work with all football-related departments to provide ad-hoc statistical requests and custom reports, as well as tools and datasets for information pertaining to college and pro players, the NFL draft, and free agency
  • Import and merge data from disparate outside sources into a centralized MS SQL database for use by all football-related departments and automate the import/merge processes for repeatability
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing on new web pages, tools, and reports that were created within the FIS Department
  • Additional duties when and where needed

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Currently pursuing, or completed bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively and multi-task efficiently
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Familiarity with an object-oriented programming language such as: C#, Java, C++, etc.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and SQL and their relation to the development life cycle
  • Familiarity with version control tools/software such as: Azure Repos, Git Hub, or SVN
  • Familiarity with Football, though formal experience and knowledge is not required
  • Ability to write queries and create/modify functions, procedures, and views
  • Knowledge of the ETL Process and its tools
  • Familiarity with APIs and their terminology such as: REST, JSON, etc.
