Job Description
- Maintain records of all donations
- Execute all charitable jersey and memorabilia auctions using MiLB Auctions Platform
- Coordinate Volunteer Opportunities for the Rumble Ponies’ Front Office Staff
- Create New and Develop Existing Community Initiatives
- Lead on Event Promotions with Charitable Tie-Ins including, but not limited to: Military Appreciation Nights, Sock out Cancer, We Care Wednesdays, 50/50 and many other community components.
- Work directly with the Ticket sales and Sponsorship departments to support sales through community relations programming and partnership opportunities within the private sector
- Assist in Rumble Ponies Charities’ Fundraising Events
- Coordinate Player Autograph Sessions when needed
- Coordinate Charitable Player Appearances Throughout the Rumble Ponies Season
- Coordinate Annual Youth Baseball Clinics including but not limited to: Play Ball Weekend
- Coordinate all MLB community initiatives
- Manage two 2 employees, Promotions & Community Relations Coordinator (seasonal) and the Mascot (year round, part time)
- Other Duties as Assigned by the General Manager, or President
Qualifications Required
- Willingness to work longer hours on home dates during the baseball season to include nights and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to work with all personality types at the staff, management and client levels
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Word, Excel and PowerPoint or other presentation software
- Proven track record of successful event planning and fundraising skills
- Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle to various community events
- Some light to moderate lifting of tables, chairs, miscellaneous equipment necessary for community relations events inside and outside the ballpark.
- Excellent listening, negotiating, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
