Job Description
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the initial on-premises point of contact, greeting and providing routine information and directions to visitors in our Chicago-based front office’s main lobby. The Front Desk Receptionist will provide organizational and administrative support for the Cubs organization and model consistent professionalism and flawless service delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide top-level organizational and administrative support to the organization’s front office associates, visitors, and clients by modeling a welcoming and friendly demeanor
- Address all visitors’ questions attentively, professionally and courteously
- Facilitate appointment check-in, building navigation and general assistance to internal and external customers
- Liaise with associates at all levels of the organization to ensure best-in-class service delivery to all internal and external customers
- Routinely communicate with the organization’s executive assistants regarding appointments, meetings and events for executives and functional leaders
- Coordinate day-of logistics for internal and external meetings and events that originate from the main lobby of the Cubs’ front office
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, game days or other event dates
- High school degree or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships among all organizational levels
- Proven interest in learning new software and technology and utilizing on the job
- Demonstrated excellent communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in an organized manner and manage time efficiently and effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated common sense, good judgment, and the ability to think and act quickly
- Proven ability to think independently and act quickly to deliver exceptional guest service
- Ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at the front desk for extended periods of time
