Job Description
Crown Legacy FC is looking for qualified candidates to serve as Matchday Event Staff for the 2023 MLS NextPro Inaugural Season. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of planning and executing soccer matches for the New Franchise. The position is ideal for recent college graduates who have graduated within the last couple of years and are seeking an entry level part-time position within the Sports Industry. Hourly compensation is provided, but housing, benefits, or relocation expenses are not included.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up and breaking down all Crown Legacy FC matches at the Mecklenburg Sportsplex at Matthews including Fieldboard setup/breakdown, Brand graphics, and Sponsor elements
- Serve as the Matchday Field Manager from the 4th Officials table working with the Matchday Producer to ensure Game Entertainment and Competition elements of the match are successfully executed
- Assist as the Matchday Visiting Team Locker Room Attendant to confirm all Locker Room Standardization practices are in compliance with League Guidelines
- Serve as the Matchday Referee Liaison in accordance with the MLS NextPro Policies to ensure that all Field and Competition regulations are followed
- Responsible for orchestrating and executing in-game and sponsor activations throughout the stadium
- Assist Ticket Operations with execution of all Field Experience Programs throughout the match
- Responsible for coordination of all Hospitality and Catering elements for the Teams and Club
- Lend support to Matchday & Event Operations Consultant with other duties as assigned in conjunction with Mecklenburg Sportsplex Staff
Qualifications Required
- Must be available to work most of Crown Legacy FC season that starts in March ending as late as October
- Duties and responsibilities may fall on evenings, weekends, holiday, and non-traditional hours
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Mecklenburg Sportsplex at Matthews
- Must be able to lift 45+ pounds and be on your feet for 6+ hours at a time
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
