 Job Description

The Senior Coordinator, Social Content (Roots) is responsible for delivering social media value for all NASCAR Roots series, including ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, through strategy and content development and execution.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ideate, develop, manage, and execute content programs and campaigns designed to help the organization meet and succeed business goals and objectives
  • Provide high level content support of the league’s social and digital channels
  • Provide real-time event coverage both on location and remotely
  • Manage posting to MRN Social channels
  • Execute content development by leveraging relevant tools (e.g. Adobe’s creative suite) and working with NASCAR Productions, digital video, creative design, and Roots digital teams
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop branded content that delivers value across all mediums, with particular focus on social platforms
  • Ideate and create content for all league content channels, with an emphasis on the ARCA Menards, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series
  • Develop relationships with NASCAR national series Social team to leverage their relationships, collaborate on content development, and maximize reach
  • Closely track emerging trends, tools, and platforms in the social/ digital space
  • Leverage social media analytics (in collaboration with Analytics & Insights team) and apply key learnings to develop content strategy
  • Maintain current knowledge of, conduct regular research on, and monitor other sites (both sport and non-sport) for latest online innovations and technologies
  • Travel: up to 15% travel, including weekends

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and a minimum of four (4) years of current experience in social media and content development; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with sports and entertainment properties preferred
  • Proficient on all Company provided hardware and software. Knowledge of social media content management and reporting platforms. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with social media content management and reporting platforms
  • Passion for digital and social media and using those disciplines to advance business goals
  • Able to work a non-traditional work week, including nights and weekends.
  • Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking, especially in the social space
  • Experience managing partner relationships and proactively ideating around social and digital activations
  • Experience working with video and design tools and software
  • Knowledge of ARCA Menards, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series preferred
