 Job Description
The Senior Manager role in Strategy & Corporate Development will be empowered to generate high impact across the organization, serving as a project lead for initiatives spanning the three key areas identified above. A successful candidate will not only support the team’s existing efforts in these areas but also help identify and source new opportunities while also developing a team of highly talented individuals to take on leadership roles within the Company.
Location:
- This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Driving key strategic projects that have enterprise-wide implications on the various business segments and their respective unique strategies.
- Developing deep relationships with business unit leadership to support the execution of existing key strategic priorities and identifying new opportunities.
- Driving new business development initiatives by working with internal and external stakeholders to identify potential new revenue streams or business units and then incubating the new business or revenue stream.
- Helping develop and refine the overall M&A strategy for the company, including developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential acquisition, partnership, or investment opportunities.
- Leading the evaluation, execution, and subsequent integration of M&A opportunities, including conducting due diligence, developing business cases, building detailed financial models (DCF, comps, accretion / dilution), and working closely with internal leaders and external advisors
- Managing and mentoring more junior members of the corporate strategy and business development team, including as a direct manager, project lead, and/or as a leader on the team.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a track record of strong academic achievement. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience at either 1) a top-tier management consulting firm or equivalent corporate strategy group, or 2) a top-tier investment bank, private equity firm, or equivalent corporate development group.
- Exceptional capacity for problem solving, critical thinking, and business judgement.
- Self-starter who can operate with minimal guidance and is proactive in developing internal and external relationships and identifying growth opportunities for the Company.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines with tight and changing timelines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to tailor communications to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
- A bias for action and results while remaining highly collaborative. Ability to identify the right stakeholders to involve for each workstream and drive healthy and productive debate.
- Nice to have: Proven track record of leading high-functioning teams in a fast-paced environment and developing high-caliber talent on an accelerated career trajectory.
