OL Reign is seeking a passionate Manager of Community Engagement to drive the club’s strategy for community outreach, engagement, and social responsibility.  The ideal candidate will be curious, creative, and passionate about community organizing.  They will take initiative in connecting all invested parties in order to bring OL Reign’s purpose-driven model to life.  This is a full-time role in Seattle, WA, and will report to the VP, Marketing & Ticketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the club’s community engagement strategy, ensuring short-term and long-term goals are aligned with OL Reign’s mission and vision.
  • Conduct continuous research to identify impact areas, with a focus on BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ communities, empowerment and equity for all, and environmental sustainability.
  • Stay up to date on trends and best practices, incorporating findings into the club’s strategy.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with a diverse set of community leaders, including local non-profits, youth groups, sports institutions, and small businesses.
  • Oversee the club’s community engagement programs and initiatives, including employee volunteerism, charitable giving, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify and manage a diverse group of street team members to engage directly with communities across our markets.
  • Build effective working-relationships with players, front office, and technical staff to integrate our purpose-driven model into the club's operational framework.
  • Manage all internal and external communications regarding community engagement initiatives and achievements, including club-wide communications and social media promotions.
  • Create and manage budgets for all community outreach and engagement activities and events.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of various programs, and regularly report on progress to club leadership.
  • Represent the club at all future home games and relevant events.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in community engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or related field.
  • Knowledge of best practices in DEI and CSR, including environmental sustainability, community engagement, and social justice.
  • Proven track record of developing community engagement programs and processes, particularly within diverse communities.
  • Knowledge of women’s soccer (and sports) and the impact it can have on communities.
  • Experience navigating complex interpersonal situations, analyzing problems, and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and quickly adapt to changing logistical and strategic needs.
  • Compelling and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software applications.
