 Job Description

  • Leading team, unit, and/or individual coaching sessions
  • Supporting development of team and athlete performance targets and feedback mechanisms
  • Practice planning, implementation, and review
  • Providing input into yearly and season planning, tactical and technical periodization, and all aspects of performance preparation
  • Leading specific areas of analysis including team performance review, preview, and individual performance feedback
  • Assisting with short, medium, and long-term goal setting with team members
  • Providing input into team selection for OUA and USports competitions

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully coaching a specific area of the game at a performance level (e.g. team attack, team defence, transition, set-piece, backline attack, other)
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of developing 18–25-year-old high-performance athletes towards provincial, national, and international standards
  • Knowledge and experience with game analysis programs, software and equipment is desirable
  • The position requires strong organizational, time management, and planning skills. The ability to work independently, problem solve, and effectively manage your own time are critical.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team building skills 
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills; instructional, coaching, and motivating skills; influencing and team building skills, including the ability to think creatively and work within a high-performance coaching team.
  • A proven ability to elicit and foster trust, develop positive working relationships and work effectively with others.
