 Job Description
Develop new corporate partnerships and then work to renew those partnerships. Collaborate with sales team to generate sustaining revenue streams by procuring corporate partnerships. Listen to client needs and work cross-departmentally to bundle business assets to craft effective marketing platforms for partners and drive long-term revenue for the company. The position will also have responsibilities assisting the sponsor servicing efforts for the department’s portfolio of corporate partners.
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver annual sales results and successfully build and maintain a portfolio of clients
- Market and sell fully integrated corporate partnership programs to regional and national businesses
- Provide second-to-none client servicing, ideation and support for existing partnerships
- Research and prospect for new business leads continually, using creativity to envision and initiate new business-to-business connections
- Manage the upkeep of sales overview decks and materials to accurately reflect USA Hockey’s reach and offerings
- Create and deliver unique and polished sales presentations with confidence
- Develop and implement in-market/retail promotions to add new value for clients
- Assist in a variety of department-related duties
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree or possess a minimum of two years' experience in agency, media or partnership sales
- Knowledgeable in the practices and principles related to media sales, sponsorship activation, and business development
- Ability to develop successful, mutually beneficial working relationships with potential corporate clients
- Understand teamwork and enjoy working closely with account managers to provide a team approach that fulfills client interests and overall partnership objectives
- Self-starter, successful working with limited supervision
- Sales style reflects both drive and resilience
- Team orientation supporting motivation and focus on both individual and departmental growth
- Well-spoken and have excellent written communication skills as well as listening skills
- Exceptional work ethic and a strong desire to succeed
